| In 1973 the book of Wenzi was found in Hubei with 277 pieces destroyed bamboo slips and more than 2790 words. Compared with today's Wenzi, the first six chapters in the old edition can be corresponded; therefore it is proved that Wenzi existed in pre-Qin dynast. It also promoted the research on Wenzi. Its thoughts include Laozi Taoism, Confucianism, legalism, Mozism etc. Its language based on discussion and argument, so there are rich antonyms in it. The paper focuses on whole synchronic description based on these theories and research made by people. The paper can be divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction. The research on pre-Qin antonyms is limited at present. The paper focuses on providing some basic material for the research on pre-Qin antonyms. Firstly we introduce the author and his works. Secondly we have an outlook for research on antonyms. At last the vocabulary present condition and the corpus are introduced.The second chapter is the definition of Wenzi antonyms. We show that antonyms must belong to the same upright position and they must constitute a relative or conversely relation as a basic principle of judge antonyms. We use three methods including of text way, sememe analysis way and social language validation way to sum up 347 antonyms. There are 144 adjective,115 verbs and 88 nouns according to grammar which also accord with the features of pre-Qin works.The third chapter is the relationship between the inner antonyms. It can be divided into polar opposition, complementary and anti-standard relationship. We can find that polar opposition antonyms are the most which also accord with its features. At the same time we compare with grammar, semantics and sound in detail.The fourth chapter is the formation of antonyms. It consists of antonyms between original meaning and jargons. We can find that jargons are the majority of antonyms which shows the development of jargons is inevitable result.The fifth chapter is the corresponding relationship between antonyms. There are bilateral poly meaning, poly one meaning and multilateral poly meaning antonyms. It shows that the vocabulary will develop towards multilateral poly meaning.The sixth chapter is the interdependence of antonyms. We can find that the majorities are laparoscope and lift relationship according to the text of the specific application. Instead there are few antonyms which is used individually in the full text.In a word, the paper aims at revealing the inherent law of pre-Qin antonyms by the synchronic description for Wenzi antonyms. Meanwhile we also want to do something for pre-Qin antonyms research. |
