Shanxi Province Unearthed In Shanxi Department Of Bronze Ornamentation Types And Cultural Factors

In the past most of the Zhou Dynasty Bronze was found in ZongZhou region, and all the kingdoms'culture were familiar with the Zhou Dynasty culture, the familiar parts were more than the different parts. This has led to the research on the Brone in ZongZhou area to a large extent being equivalent to the study on the Zhou Dynasty Bronze designs. In recent years, a great amout of Zhou Bronze of Jin state has been found in the qucun village tomb, the tombs of the marquis of Jin state in the Tianma-Qucun site and the tombs in ShangMa village, making it possible to research Bronze and its ornament of Jin state in the Zhou Dynasty.The thesis mainly is composed of six parts.The first part is introduction. We give an brief introduction about the Brone found in Jin state, the brief research history, and the present situation about the research.The second part is research on categories. In this part we make a typology study on the ornaments of Jin State Bronze in the Zhou Dynasty. Firstly, we divided the ornaments into three categories, animal ornamentation patten, botanic ornamentation patten, and geometic ornamentation patten. Focus on the pattens in the shapes of animals, dragons, birds and torus, which have a strong sense of the times change and with the obvious characteristics.The third part is research on the stage. We devide the Bronze ornaments of Jin State into three stages, rely on the staggered characteristics of Bronze ornaments and the combination of the Bronze ornaments.The fourth part is analysis on the cultural factors. Firstly,in basis of mentioned typology analysis and stage research, we define the ornaments of Jin State Bronze,involving its produce and development We compare the similarities and differences of the Bronze decorations between Jin state and Shang Dynasty, ZongZhou, or north region cultures from the respective of cultural factors.The fifth part is epilogue. Based on the analysis on stage and cultural factors, we try to probe into the history reasons of the development of Bronze ornaments of Jin state.
