Abstract:Bach, "the father of Western music", the great German musician, is the author of the second Suite of Solo Violin whose end movement named "Chaconne" is known as the " the Bible of violin music." This piece of music work is superb in composition techniques, novel in variation technique and grand in momentum. It has beautiful and moving theme, deep and philosophical meaning. It is one of Bach's most famous works. In this song, It is not only demonstrates Bach's complex and splendid creation techniques, profound and philosophical ideology connotations, but also shows the sublimation, solemnity, pureness, and simpleness of Baroque art.Ferruccio Benvenuto Busoni, the greatest piano adaptation writer after Liszt, was born nearly two centuries later than Bach. But his works that adapt and deduct Bach's essence composition have caught a lot of piano teaching and performance professional's attention. "Chaconne" is one of the most popular adaptation.Such two great music workers create this composition together which has caught much of the pianist's interests. But different players played it in very different styles. So how to play this work, either according to Bach's Baroque style in which our play speed, rhythm and syntax is strictly controlled, or according to Busoni's Romantic period style in which we play it with passion and full of changes, or combine the two styles together, has not to be clarified clearly in academia. Even though we can find a lot of playing version of this work, the music literatures that introduce how to handle it's style are very rare. So it become the research purpose and innovation of this paper.The paper is divided into five parts. In the introduction chapter, the author described the basic situation of Busoni's adaptation of Bach and proposed the significance and purpose of this topic by introducing the recording album of current abroad pianist who had played this work and the researching situation of "Chaconne".The first chapter the author analyzed the Bach's "Chaconne", including the characteristics of that age and his life experiences, then introduced the musical style and important position in the violin works.The second chapter is the contrast of Busoni's "Chaconne" and the original version. At first part of this chapter, the author introduced Busoni's life briefly and then analyzed the musical style of Busoni's adaptation. The focus of this chapter is section 4, in which Busoni's adaptation " Chaconne " is compared with Bach's violin original version according to several aspects such as musical structure, harmony organization, voice level and so on. And the difference is also analyzed from music writing.The third chapter is the difficulty of this paper, in which the author introduced how to play Busoni's piano adapted version of "Chaconne". Through research of how Busoni's "Chaconne" to reproduce the acoustics of the violin and how to sublimate the ideological conception based on retaining the original music style. the author proposed several handling methods about the legato, voice, speed and pedal and so on, explored how to understand the spirit of this adaptation work and the expression of inner feelings, and guided the piano players to accurately grasp the essence of this adaptation works and to performance its characteristics more better.
