As a postgraduate student majoring in vocality, we often sing some recitatives from operas, but lacks of paying enough attention and researching. Recitative is main component of Opera, it serves as developing plot, introducing aria, connecting act and scene, expressing dramatic conflict and so on. Intensifying the study of researching the recitative, it will be instructive meaning for vocal music teaching and performing. Through the study on the relative sound materials, opera sheets, literature and document, analysis of personal understanding, and research on Opera's development, the rise and development of recitative, trying to show how to grasp the recitative's style more accurately and more concretely, at last if studying the recitative, we need to pay more attention to the neglected theoretical research, and it will be practically instructive meaning for grasping the recitative's style.
