With the upsurge of China's economy, Chinese has developed into a more and more important role in view of the foreign politics. Chinese Teaching to Foreigners has entered a new historical stage of rapid development. In light of this new situation, it is imperative to push further the work of teaching foreigner Chinese language.Foreign language teaching should employ multiple methods to achieve its goal in accordance to the varied motivation, demand and other characteristics of the students. Especially in the oral teaching, in order to immerse the students into long term self taught learning process, the responsibility of teachers is to make the learning process and content smooth, to teach while entertaining and to enable students to self meditating. However, how can we achieve that aim? In recent years, the study on how to stimulate student's interest in learning Chinese language has become one of the focuses among teachers and researchers. Game teaching advocated that creating a lively atmosphere for students to grow interests in learning Chinese can make learning much more fun, thus enable students to fully master the language skills. This approach has aroused more and more attention among domestic scholars.This article aims to summarize the pros and cons during previous application of game teaching in the Chinese language teaching, and will follow with a further elaboration on the employment in the beginner stages.The paper is divided into five chaptersThe first chapter is the introduction, introducing the current situation and main problems of Chinese language teaching, while discussing the necessity and applicability of game teaching in the classroom.The second chapter put forth the theoretical basis for game teaching, including the main results made by domestic and foreign counterparts, the relation between motivation, interests and learning. In this chapter, we will also compare and analyze gaming teaching and current popular task teaching and situational approach, followed by a study on the relation between motivation and responses of the beginners in Chinese spoken language learning. The third chapter describes the game's definition, classification and characteristics, as well as their use in teaching, and how we can emphasize its reasonable use for Beginners in oral Chinese.In Chapter IV we will discuss a real case based on the current domestic Textbook "Developing Chinese language skills-Elementary Speaking Chinese", and explore the deep meaning of game teaching in real time situation.The fifth chapter is the conclusion, which clarifies the effectiveness, limitations and prospect of the game teaching method.
