Xinjiang is the joint of western culture on Silk Road in history. Sculpture has reached its peak but then corrupt because of nature, religion and culture. Folk-custom subject is unique and exotic, providing boundless resources. However, with time changing, some glorious achievements were long forgotten and lost their character for the deverlepment of modern society. Therefore we have the necessity to recall the memory so as to reinvorgrate folk-custom sculpture in Xinjiang. Getting involved in sculpture art is a changing process from quantative to fundemental ones. Only by long-term accumulation can we make achievement in the field, which depends on intrinsic awareness through both practice and thinking. Thus by making good Xinjiang folk-custom demands not only the knowledge of its tradition but further research on sculpture itself as a body language. By doing so requires more than just changes on form but basing oneself on its innate character and taking command of its discipline.
