| At first This article discusses the deformation processing historical origin of the western modernist paintings modelling, Analyzes the inner link from Bosch until After impressionist, And expounds the social background of modernist paintings. it including the influence of the development of science and technology social and political status and the philosophical thoughts society fashion at that time the effect of original art and foreign art. Secondly it analyses main deformation processing of western modernist paintings from different tendencies of the deformation , different degree of deformation and the relationship between deformation and other painting elements. In the third chapter my article analyzes aesthetic significance of deformation in western modernist paintings, it expresses: strengthens the the ideological content and the emotion`s expression of works, highlights the artist's personality ,strengthen the form`s feelings of picture as well as inspires and influences other art field.
