Since the beginning of the last century, in northwest and southern of China excavated groups of bamboo or silk of Han Dynasty, which includes a lot of private letters. These excavated documents can offer valuable information for our study about private letters of Han Dynasty and insight into the history and language of the same period as well.This paper, based on previous research, try to make a preliminary analysis on the text structure, formulaic expression and salutation in the letters of the Han Dynasty such as research. The thesis is constructed in three parts:body, conclusion and appendixes. The body comprises three chapters. The first chapter contains a briefly introduction of excavated private letters in bamboo and silk, and research scholars. The second chapter discusses the text structure and formulaic expression. The third chapter for a number of specific issues, such as the title of letters, and try to offer an integrated reading of them.
