Based on the History of Academic Research, the present study explored the research papers which were subjected with Kanchazan and his poems. It is believed in the present study that Kanchazan's poems were influenced by both Chinese culture and Japanese endemic feature and the two factors integrated jointly in his poems, which can be shown in the following perspectives.Firstly, Kanchazan's earlier poems had the characteristics of poetry in the early literary period, which were featured by the writing technique that using literary quotation to express the poets' loneliness, depression and the averseness towards the society. Besides, it was also influenced by Japanese endemic culture. For example, different from Confucius' Yi Lan Cao, Kanchazan's orchid poems was more concerned about the feeling of isolation and depression. Moreover, the writing techniques reflected in his stone poems which compared stones to the writer as well as the place he located the stones were unique in the literary field.Secondly, Kanchazan's poetry was affected by the painting of scholars in Ming and Qing dynasties in China. Inspired by the works of Chinese paintings and poems in this period, Kanchazan started to describe scenery with color in his poems, which improved him to a higher level than solely expressing depressed feelings. On the other hand, his poetry was different to some extend from the paintings and poems in Ming and Qing dynasties. For instance, the technique in writing Niao Bei had never been witnessed in Chinese literature before; although his early poem Hua Niao Yin imitated Tang Bohu's poem, it is somehow different from the latter.Thirdly, Kanchazan's early chinese poems was influenced by Wen Xuan. In his political critique poems, Kanchazan adopted Fu Yun, Bai Ri and the bird in Ancient Poetry Nineteen in Wenxuan and Peng Niao Fu by Jia Yi to symbolize the society and the depraved people. Nevertheless, in his poems that expressed his feelings, Kanchazan not only applied the writing techniques in Wen Xuan, but also enriched the meaning of Lun Xin in Yan Lian Zhu by Lu Ji and Xie Ling Yun Zhuan Lun by Shen Yue. At the same time, he created the new term Kuan Yan based on Chou Cong Di Lian Hui by Xie Ling Yun, which represented intimate conversation about the present situation. In conclusion, Kanchazan's early poems, especially the political critique poems and the poems expressing his feelings, were under the influence of both Wen Xuan as well as Chinese culture and Japanese culture.Fourthly, Kanchazan's poems reflected the features of traditional Japanese art forms such as tanka poetry and satiric. However, poems like Dao Shang Shi utilized both improvisational satiric techniques, which is a Japanese writing technique, and literary quotation, which is a feature of Chinese poetry. To sum up, Kanchazan's poems were the production under the influence of both Japanese and Chinese culture.Fifthly, the term wasyuu refers to the Japanese endemic features shown in Kanchazan's poems. Although Yu Yue adjusted some points of wasyuu, he thinks highly of Kanchazan's poems. Therefore, it can be inferred that Kanchazan's poems, which had distinct and unique Janpanese endemicity feature, or wasyuu, are acknowledged by Chinese literature masters and have the universal value of Chinese poetry for in both Japanese and Chinese literatus.
