Purpose:To observe characteristics and related factors of adverse drug reactions in both Chinese and Western analgesics, ensuring the efficacy and safety in both medicines when curing cancer pain, as well as how to use other ways to reduce adverse effects and increase the clinical efficacy, whose purpose is to provide reference for proper clinical drug-use。Material and method:Establishing ACCESS clinical database that contains tables, queries, forms, reports and other items and using bibliometrics method, we have done a retrospective research to search ADR-related reports of the database from 2005 to 2009 years of Chinese medical journals and literature about pain cancer。Results:287 documents in all, there are 35 pieces of Chinese medical treatment, 45 Integrative Medicine,85 diphosphonic acid drugs, 50 opioids, 63 fentanyl patches and 9 nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents.Conclusion:1 As opposed tobin contrast to clinical commonly used analgesic MS,TCM and Integrated Traditional have less possibility of ADR, showing a significant difference (p = 0.0001)2 Possibility of ADR caused by Chinese herb is oral
