Purpose: This article aims to explore the peripheral facial paralysis and it's role in pathogenesis of liver depression performance, pathogenic theory for the development provide clinical basis, to better guide clinical。Method:256 cases of patients admitted to hospital were from Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital of Neurology ward from January 2009 to February 2010. In 256 cases of patients, man were 122 cases, accounting for 47.7%;women were 134 cases, accounting for 52.3%; the smallest was 19-year-old, the oldest was 91-year-old. The shortest duration was three hours, the longest was 2 years. According to diagnostic criteria, exclusion criteria, the 256 cases of patients with peripheral facial paralysis were divided into different syndrome, caused 78 cases of liver depression treated with SPSS16 statistical software for statistical analysis, analysis of indicators such as gender, age, incidence of the month and so on.Results:1 Liver depression caused 78 cases of 256 cases of patients with facial paralysis, accounting for 30.5% of the total; of these 48 cases of female patients ,male 30 cases, female patients were more than male patients .2 Many Liver Depression-type facial paralysis patients had basic diseases, who had hypertension accounted for 8.98% of the total number of patients were higher than the cold type(8.20%), lower than Mailuokongxu, Fengxieruzhong type(10.94%); risk of coronary heart disease, cerebral infarction respectively accounted for 2.73%,1.95% were higher than the cold type(1.95%,0.39%), lower than the Mailuokongxu, Fengxieruzhong type(3.52%,2.34%); risk of type 2 diabetes accounted for 7.81% of the total number of patients, were higher than the Mailuokongxu, Fengxieruzhong type( 6.64%)and the cold type( 4.30%).3 facial paralysis caused by Liver depression can be in each month of onset。Conclusion: 1.Emotional factors have led to facial paralysis in the clinical should not be ignored.2 Liver Depression-type facial paralysis patients had type 2 diabetes were other types.3 Liver Depression-type facial paralysis patients can be attack in any month, the female patients were more than male patients.4 Liver Depression-type facial paralysis patients were more difficult to cure.5 We should use the Methods of Shugan Jieyu and Tiaojie Mailuo in the treatment of peripheral facial paralysis.
