Wu Jutong, a famous therapist of TCM in Qing Dynasty, is good at epidemic febrile disease and internal disease. Although he did not explicitly address the existence of its own private-sook relationship with Ye Tianshi, but, there is no doubt that many of the prescription in Differentiation and Treatment of Epidemic Febrile Diseases are from the book Case Reports For Clinical Practice. It was said clearly that"learning from Gui."in the book Qing Dynasty History, because Wu Jutong really admired Ye Tianshi for his knowledge and regretted that Ye' s experience in treating epidemic febrile diseases had not been widely adopted by others. Furthermore, If we compare their representative works carefully, it will not be difficult to find a lot of Wu' s medical theory originating from the Ye' s writings. This thesis applied the method of literature arrangement. By analyzing Ye' s and Wu' s respective works, we will standardize the essence of their medical thought to reveal there are many similarities between them and make it clear that they have inheritance relations. The thesis is composed of three sections. Firstly, from a historical point of view, we get their details access to documents such as Qing Dynasty History, and proved that their inheritance relation was historically inevitable.Secondly, in epidemic febrile diseases, Wu Jutong completely absorbed the theory of etiology and pathogenesis that comes from Ye Tianshi, distinguishing clearly the differences between cold pathogenic disease and epidemic febrile disease. He created crucial rule for syndrome differentiation of San Jiao, and completed the theory of"Wei Qi Ying Xue". He inherited the diagnosis methods of Ye' s about tongue and pulse etc. and created a series of prescriptions, which had therapy characteristic of epidemic febrile diseases.Again, in internal diseases ,Wu Jutong inherited the Stomach-yin theory of Ye' s, and attached importance to the spleen - stomach, nourishing Yin, and syndrome differentiation of Meridians and collaterals. Wu Jutong worked hard at Ye' s books and inherited the essences of its medical thought perfectly. He not only learned many TCM classics from a lot of masters but practiced them frequently.
