The thesis is divided into two parts:literature review and clinical research part. Literature review includes the prevention and treatment of diabetes in Modern Medicine Research and Traditional Chinese Medicine Research, and the L-Arabinose Research.Diabetes'prevention and treatment research, mainly from the traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, interpreted and summary review of recent Chinese medicine and Western medicine on diabetes research and treatment progress on the pathogenesis of diabetes and the prevention and treatment methods. By comparison, the summary of all physicians in the traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine treatment of diabetes intervention are two aspects of control of diabetes research, and in the present study the problems and future development directions in the review, from an objective perspective highlights the importance of prevention and treatment of diabetes.L-arabinose research focused on the modern interpretation of the its physical and chemical properties and physiological function of glucose, combined with all countries and areas in recent years on the L-arabinose research, preparation and application for L-arabinose as a "healthy candy" as used in prevention of diabetes to prevent the usual high sugar high fat diet induced diabetes provides a scientific overview.Clinical part of the observed L-arabinose, the impact on postprandial blood glucose levels and inhibiting effect of increased blood sugar time. According the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) in November 2006 issued jointly by the intermediate diabetes and high blood sugar (intermediate hyperglycaemia) diagnostic criteria, we selected 10 subjects with IFG, IGT 10 subjects with IGT and 10 subjects with 2DMT as the test group whose got sugar test and mixed sugar test. All subjects are accepted the knowledge of diabetes prevention education before the start of the observation. Each test recorded four times blood glucose levels. Observation time is two weeks, the main target for the clinical symptoms observed, fasting blood glucose, 1/2h blood glucose, 1h and 2h post-glucose blood sugar after. Results:taking sugar mixed with sucrose and L-arabinose sugar 1/2hPG significant differences compared; 1/2h blood glucose difference, 1h difference significant difference of blood glucose significantly during the experimental period showed no adverse reactions. Conclusion:L-arabinose inhibition of postprandial hyperglycemia with short-term efficacy, increased rate of blood glucose play a major role, and effective role in the body time about 30 minutes to 1 hour, and then be introduced at the time the impact of sucrose on the blood glucose by the L-arabinose inhibited. Conclusion:L-arabinose may inhibit the intermediate diabetes and postprandial hyperglycemia in patients with elevated blood sugar; can improve postprandial clinical symptoms. Recent L-arabinose is a health and safety food, it has clinical value.
