With flourish development of our domestic "Digital hospital" plan, the health care department's desire for EMRS (Electronic Medical Record System) keeps increasing. As we all know, an effective security system is vital to a more mature EMRS. Aim at the above objective, this thesis firstly analyzed common security requirements of an EMRS such as confidentiality, integrality, non-repudiation and authentication. Secondly, we get the content and format of standard EMR by studying the international standards of EMR. Because of the final EMR is represented by XML (Extensible Markup Language) language, this thesis investigated criterion standards about XML security technology, analyzed the structure and disposal process of XML signature and XML encryption. Based on this work, we established the model of XML signature and XML encryption, and coded with C# language to implement it. To a certain extent, this work solved the problem of confidentiality, integrality and non-repudiation of EMR. On the other hand, as to the strong identity authentication system of EMRS, this thesis firstly analyzed the pitfall of traditional identity authentication technology, then by compared some kinds of biometric identification system, a EMRS identity authentication system based on AFIS ( Automated Fingerprint Identification System) is proposed. By studying the recent fingerprint identification algorithms, considering efficiency and effective factors synthetically, an integrative AFIS algorithm is constructed. Finally, an identity authentication model of EMRS is designed. All of above works may lay a solid foundation to the following research and development of a valuable and practical EMRS.
