Eomecon chinantha Hance is a perennial herb and a species of unique category and unique genus in China, being extensively distributed in some of the southern provinces such as Zhejiang,Jiangxi,Sichuan, Hunan,etc.Its root and rhizome are used in preparing medicines.In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used as antidote and antibiotic.The therapy by using it to cure colonitis, conjunctivitis or snake poisoning etc.is commonly accepted by the local people.In recent years,our country has done many researches on the underground parts of Eomecon chinatha Hance, but most of the researches have been concentrated on the contracture and pharmacology of the alkaloids in it. The research of its triterpenoids has not been reported systematically. So the purpose of this topic is to do further study on the moderate and low polarity parts of the triterpenoids which are found in the preparative experiments, develop the ground parts of Eomecon chinantha Hance, avoid doing excessive and no reborn damage on the resources of Eomecon chinantha Hance, develop and protect the resources at the same time, and set the basis for the modernization of the development of the traditional medicine Eomecon chinantha Hance in our country. After the phytochemistry research of the Eomecon chinantha Hance,7 compounds have been isolated, Chelerythrine,Sanguinarine,Protopine, Allocrypopine,Oxysanguinarine,Chelerythridmerine and some other alkaloids;where Chelerythrin is dominating in the content. Another compound is Iupcnyl acetate.From the PE extract of the culm and leaf of Eomecon chinantha Hance, by normal and low pressure silica gel column chromatography many times,9 constituents were isolated.On the basis of NMRs,MS,IR spectroscopic analysis methods and chemical methods,6 compounds were identified asβ-amyrin acetate, Iupcnyl acetate,Alkyl Carboxylic acid,β-sterols, etc. Except the Iupcnyl acetate, others compounds were isolated from this genus for the first time. The non-polarity matter from the ground parts of Eomecon chinantha China was analyzed by GC/MS method.27 peaks were isolated, and 21 compounds of them were identified. The main chemical components were Alkyl carboxylic acid, haliphatic ester, alkyl,etc.Iupcnyl acetate in the ground parts of Eomecon chinantha Hance was determinated by Thin Layer scanning, Petroleum ether (60~90℃)-chloroform(2:3)as outspread dose,20% sulfuric acid solution as color reagent.Iupcnyl acetate has well linear relation (r=0.9998)in 0.64~3.2μg, with the recover rate of 91.69%,rlative standard deviation (RSD) of 2.4%. The technique was convenient and low-cost, it can be used to supervise the quality of medicinal materials,be feasible for the general investigation of medicinal resource.
