Objective. To approach the protection and its mechanism of Puerarin against retinal damage by light. Methods:Observed the histomorphplogy changes of outer nuclear layer and detected the regulatory factors of apoptosis Bax,Bcl-2,Bcl-2/Bax and Caspase-3.Result:①In histomorphplogy, the model group's became thinner compared normal group's and cell arrangement was raritas, internal and external segments arrangement was disordered, and the demarcation wasn't distinct, the differences had statistical significance compared normal group's(P<0.05).Low-dose group's had improvation compared model group's,the outer nuclear layer of retina become thicker, the cell are closely, the differences had statistical significance compared model group's(P<0.05).High-dose group's had no obvious improvement compared model group the differences had no statistical significance compared model group's(P>0.05)②In expression of regulating apoptosis of Bax,Bcl-2,Caspase-3 factors, after light postinjury, the expression of Bax,Caspase-3 in outer nuclear layer kytoplasm of model group's reinforced, expression of Bcl-2 and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax weakened, the differences had statistical significance compared normal group's(P<0.05).Low-dose group's decreased, expression of Bcl-2 and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax reinforced, the difference had statistical significance compared model group's(P<0.05). High-dose group's Bax,Caspase-3 reinforced,Bcl-2 and the ratio of Bcl-2/Bax weakened, the differences had no statistical significance compared model group's(P>0.05)Conclusions:Low-dose Pue could release the photic injury in retina, accelerate the renovation of retina after light exposure. The mechanism might relate to control the expression of Bax,Bcl-2,Bcl-2/Bax and Caspase-3 and suppresse photosensory cell apoptosis.
