Multiple sclerosis(MS) is the central nervous system of difficult-and-rare-case and no certain abilities of effective treatment methods,and its incidence in China's rising.Due to multiple sclerosis many involving young and high morbidity,society and families bring a lot of burden.Acupuncture treatment of multiple sclerosis in the clinical curative effect.And the report system neither lack of research,nor about the mechanism of animal experiments. Therefore,the acupuncture treatment of multiple sclerosis and the mechanism for effective treatment method which is convenient is the purpose of the experiment.This article comprise with records review and empirical study.Review:By referring to the relevant information about multiple sclerosis at home and abroad in recent years,first of all,the epidemic investigation,the etiology and pathogenesis,diagnosis and treatment of modern research reviewed briefly; Second,animal model of multiple sclerosis reviewed the research situation; Finally to summarize the research progress etiology and pathogenesis,syndrome differentiation,traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture treatment in TCM. Experimental study:through the observation of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis model rats of waist swollen organization in spinal cords in the acute phase and recurrence period about morphological changes and inflammation tissue,peripheral blood serum cytokines IL-10,TNF alpha levels,and the change of the indexes above which made by Electro acupuncture treatment on acu-points "Baihui" and "Shenshu" and "Housanli'" of rats,to study regulating mechanisms of cell factors with TCM therapy for experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis in acute period and recurrence period,and revealed the mechanism of acupuncture treatment of multiple sclerosis,and provided the acupuncture treatment of multiple sclerosis provide scientific experiment basis.Methods:(1) Using the antigen consisted of guinea pig spinal cord homogenate and complete Freund's adjuvant the To immune female Wistar rats, and made the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis model(EAE model).(2) Observing waist swollen organization in spinal cords of demyelination and inflammatory infiltrate situation and etc by Loyez's staining.(3) Testing the content of IL-10 and TNF alpha in serum by double antibody sandwich enzyme standard immune method.Results:(1) making the experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis model (EAE model) by Using the antigen consisted of guinea pig spinal cord homogenate and complete Freund's adjuvant the To immune female Wistar rats,and its clinical incidence is from 83.3%to 86.1%,and then made the human similar animal model of multiple sclerosis successfully.(2)There were perivascular oversleeve-like inflammatory infiltration including a small quantity of glial cells in waist swollen organization of spinal cords.It mainly involved the medulla,and you can see their neurilemma irregular arrangement large messy or empty areas for neural demyelinated.(3) Hormone and cupping therapy may improve neural function of EAE model rats,the treatment effect of the long-term effect is more apparent.(4) Electro acupuncture treatment can effectively adjust peripheral blood serum cytokines IL-10,TNF alpha level of EAE model rat in the acute phase and recurrence period,making TNF alpha factor levels much lower,IL-10 anti-inflammatory cytokines content increased.Conclusion:Electro acupuncture treatment can reduce the inflammatory cytokines through the expression of cytokines,and strengthen the function of the anti-inflammatory activity,and keep balance of the content of cytokines about Th1 /Th2,and then improved the symptoms.So it is the important role of Electro acupuncture treatment for experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis.
