In the 21st century, cancer has been "the first killer" instead of heart and cerebrovascular disease. The patients have a strong psychological reaction because of cancer's high mortality for a long time.It is difficult to evaluate the therapeutic effect about cure rate because of the difficulty to cure cancer, and the role of survival is limited, the research on quality of life to cancer patients on the medical field becomes the mainstream. The main purpose of this study is to research the relationship of the quality of life of cancer patients and coping style, social support, mood states, and other related factors. After that,we constructed a structural model of the relationship between quality of life and the other variables. According to the significantly path in model,we used different kinds of psychological interventions to cancer patients, assessed their effects by experiments, and provided a reliable empirical data for improving the quality of life of cancer patients for further. We have selected total of 180 cancer patients who were expected to survive for more than a year for questionnaire research, but 169 were validly. In this research, there are 82 cases of male patients and female patients 87 cases;they are 24 to 78 years old,and the average age is 53.28 years old. There weren't mental illness patients or mental disorder patients. We used Quality of Life Questionn.are-Core(QLQ-C30),Profile of Mood States-Short Form(POMS-SF),Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ),Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS) and the original questionnaire. According to the results of these questionnaires,we constructed a structural model of the relationship between quality of life and the other variables, and a 10-week psychological experimental study was done according to the model. At the experimental stage,120 subjects were divided into three groups:①Group counseling group, total of 40 subjects,20 male patients and 20 female, they are aged 29 to 68 years old,the average age is 48.33 years old. They were intervented by series of lectures, group counseling, free discussion, watch videos,etc.②Health information group, total of 40 subjects,20 male patients and 20 female, they are aged 24 to 71 years old,the average age is 49.20 years old.The information mainly about anti-mainly cancer and mental health was disseminated with psychological intervention of group counseling in parallel.③Control group, total of 40 subjects,20 male patients and 20 female, they are aged 26 to 74 years old,the average age is 49.03 years old. They were without any form of intervention during the experiment.Three groups of subjects were on the match in the basic demographic information. One week after finishing the experiments, the same questionnaires were used to retest the three groups at the same time.At last,we evaluated the effects of different modes of intervention. We can get these results from our research:①There is no significant difference between male and female patients with the quality of life, mood states, social support and coping styles generally;②The quality of life among different educational background patients is not significant;③The economic condition is an important factor to affect the quality of life and mood states of cancer patients;④Social support, coping style and mood states of cancer patients all can give a direct or indirect forecast of the quality of life of cancer patients,so the experimental results have proved structural model of the relationship between quality of life and the other variables.⑤Group counseling is better for improving the cancer patients' quality of life, and health information can relax their tension and anxiety mood effectively, but there is still a certain limitations for improving the quality of life, the quality of life in the control group show a downward trend. In this research conditions,we can draw conclusions based on the analysis:①Mood states and subjective support are direct variables to affect the cancer patients' quality of life,at the same time, mood states is a indirect variable for social support and coping style to affect the quality of life.②Social support is an important factor to affect the quality of life of cancer patients.③Changing coping style of cancer patients is an effective way to improve the quality of life of cancer patients.④Groups counseling of psychological intervention is an effective way to improve the quality of life of cancer patients and promote their physical and mental health.
