Facial neuritis is the most common facial nerve diseases, Belongs to the Traditional Chinese medicine "the facial paralysis", "the mouth to look askance" and so on categories. The disease incidence rate in male and female is close to each other. Any age may be taken bad, No obvious seasonal characteristic. Its cause of disease is mainly because the channels and collaterals lose raise , the wind-pathogen attached, and then invade the meridian, meridian and vessels are blocked, so it causing the disease. Thousands of years,it has been treated using acupuncture , which is generally acknowledged as one of the most effective therapeutic methods available today. A satisfied treatment of facial Para1ysis through modern medicine has not yet been developed.Professor Wang Xuefeng is skilled in motherland traditional medical skill, for example acupuncture, moxibustion, manipulation and so on. She claims that facial neuritis should be"acupunctured in early time". Acupoint selection should "fewer but better", manipulation should be "quick and steady". She summarizes the "four needles function in eight acupoints through TOU CI acupuncture method" for recovery of facial neuritis.
