Chinese And Western Medicine Treatment Of Vulvovaginal Candidiasis Progress

In recent years the increasing incidence of vulvovaginal candidiasis(VVC)has been attacting more and more attention of medical scholars.Traditional Chinese medicine is one of the therapy of VVC,and compared with western medicine,it has advantages of less side-effects,lower relapse rate,permitting longer use and stable curative effect.The therapy of traditional Chinese medicine of VVC has been used in clinic for many years and showed prominent effect.My task is to review and summarize the therapy of VVC from the two aspects.Western medicine aspect:There is abaut 85%-90%of white fungal in the vulvovaginal and others are such as C.glabrata and so on.It is difficult to distinguish those epiphyte in the clinical progress.There is no denying the fact that the minor of the epiphyte has become increasingly difficult to cure.This review has summarized the vulvovaginal candidiasis of the research since ten years ago.So we can verdict that it is necessary and important to discover some traditional Chinese herb according to the therapy of traditional Chinese medicine.Traditional Chinese medicine aspect:Vular pruritus refers to an unbearable itching in the vula and vagina.In extreme cases it is also painful or is accompanied by prifuse leucorrhea.This paper reviews the progress on antifungal activity of Chinese traditional medicine in recent years.It is showed that Chinese medicine can inhibit fungal growth by multiway,including influence on cell structure,cell function and biosynthesis of large molecule and so on.
