| BackgroundRefractory acute leukemia(RAL) is a focus of domestic and international medical research now. The primary factor which lead acute leukemia to recur is multi drug resistance (MDR) . Since the 1990s, our department commenced to making use of traditional chinese medicine to resist RAL. The basic research has already been verified: Fritillaria Thunbergii Bulb Powder(FTBP) can reverse multi drug resistance in empirical study. Clinical study also proved: The combination use of FTBP or Fritillaria Thunbergii Bulb Complex Granules(FTBCG) with routine chemotherapeutics could decrease the percentage of the marrow primordial cells and might increase the clinical complete remission ratio. As a safe and effective traditional chinese drug, FTBCG might act a more important role to resist MDR.ObjectiveTo initially investigate the effect of the combination use of FTBCG with routine chemotherapeutics and seek why it can be effective from the view of the traditional Chinese medicine.MethodWe adopted double-blind technique, many centre and random sampling for contrast. Separated 21 refractory acute leukemia patients into two teams, the therapy group(11cases,Fritillaria Thunbergii Bulb Complex Granules. PO. based on standard chemotherapeutics)and the control group(10cases,malt granules.PO.base on standard chemotherapeutics) .All cases were request to take their drug in 3 days before chemotherapy begins(10g t.i.d.) and take medicine for 14 days continuously. The course of treatment is 17 days in all. In this period,they don't use any medicine which can reverses leukemia MDR.ResultIt was found that the combination use of FTBCG with routine chemotherapeutics could decrease the score of the tranditional Chinese symptom, and increase the curative effect in traditional chinese clinical medicine.ConclusionFTBCG with routine chemotherapeutics can increase the clinical curative effect in traditional chinese medicine,and has big value to be promoted . |
