Object:This thesis obversed the therapeautic effect of huoxuejiedu decoction in order to bring forward the thought of treating Sjogren syndrome by activating blood, removing toxin,nourshing yin and moisturizing dryness.Huoxuejiedu decoction have improved the patients clinical symptoms, physical signs and laboratory indexs.which seek after the mechanism in treatment and prevention of Sjogren syndrome with Chinese traditional medicine and provide reliable evidences for application in clinic.Method: 68 cases who accord with the enrolling criterua were randomly classified into two group, patients in treatment group were given huoxuejiedu decoction while patients in control group were given Glucosida Tripterygii TOTA.A month was a course.The integrals of symptoms and the changes of related lab targets before and after therapy were observed .Consults : The therapeutic efffect is91.33% in treatment group and83.33% in control group with a very significant differecence between the two group(P<0.05).However two groups had significant differences before and after treatment.Furthermore their dryness of mouth,pharynx and eyes, the picture of tongue ,arthralgia,constipation, raynaud's disease, acerbity and thready pulse have been improved obviously in two group(P<0.01)The patients in treatment group got better score of improvinging constipation,(P<0.05),but the two groups has little curative effect on treating parotid gland swelling.In a word, huoxuejiedu decoction got better score in treating Sjogren syndrome.Otherwise, the changes of anti-ssa, rheumatoid factor, ESR, c-relative protein, immunoglobulin patients in two group had significant differecence. But there were no difference between control group and treatment .Consult: treating Sjogren syndrome by activating blood,removing toxin,nourshing yin and moisturizing dryness.the huoxuejiedu decoction have improved the patients clinical symptoms, physical signs and laboratory index.which prove it correct that stagnation of blood stasis is basic pathogenesis of Sjogren syndrome.
