Acne is a common chronic inflammatory skin diseases,and multiple in sebaceous gland of face,neck and chest-back.The morbidity is high in the adolescent .With the improvement of our living standards, the number of patients with post- adolescent acne is also significantly increased.Patients'ages of post- adolescent acne is older than 25.It has begun in puberty,and didn't disappear until post- adolescent, known as persistent post- adolescent acne and tardive post- adolescent acne . Its incidence is close to psychological factors, environmental change, genetics and diet stimulation, oily skin, the use of cosmetics, obesity, endocrine abnormalities or organ dysfunction,and irregular medication. Lesions of the cheek, jaw, for the majority, or with chest- back, Pillsbury classification method toⅠ,Ⅱwas primarily used. General treatments are less effective,and a small number of them can delay to later 40-year-old.In this paper, there are two parts, including literature review and clinical research . Two literature Review: First for the epidemiological investigation of post- adolescent acne review, it sums up the incidence of post- adolescent acne, clinical characteristics, related factors, approach possible pathogenesy.Secondly for TCM and the modern medicine research progress to post- adolescent acne, it includes the cause of disease,pathogenesis,syndrome type,therapeutic principle,therapy,prescription,drug and western medicine etiology,pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatments.Clinical research in two parts: the first part through the 100 cases of post- adolescent acne patients after the investigation, analysised the post- adolescent acne syndrome type of TCM.40 patients compared randomly with health control group though SAS and SDS in psychological assessment. The results showed that: syndrome type includes intense heat in lung and stomach, liver depression with spleen insufficiency ,yin deficiency with internal heat,qi stagnation and blood stasis. syndrome of liver depression with spleen insufficiency and yin deficiency with internal heat are both frequent. SAS Group points significant differences (P <0.01), suggesting that patients are apparently anxiety state.SDS Group points no significant difference (P>0.05), suggesting that the patients with depression are not significantly different. The second part sum up Prof. Wang Ping` experience of the treatment of post- adolescent acne and my personal experience.
