Sd Rat Endometriosis Model And Evaluation

Objectives: The Sprague-Davley female rats endometriosismodel and the effect of diaethylstilbestrol in the model wasstudied. Method of evaluation on the model was dicussed.Method: Sixty four Sprague-Davley female rats were dividedinto four groups, eath group were established into endometriosismodels in one method. The animals were laporatomized and theuterous segements were sutured on each side of the peritonealwall. Group A:Vaginal smears were performed on all rats of thisgroup in avrerage two weaks to ensure that endometriosis wasinduced surgically during estrum. Rats of group B,C,D were inducedendometriosis while had fed for one week of adaptation. Group B wasfed with diaethylstilbestrol 0.2mg each and all, thenendometriosis models was induced surgically 24 hourslater. Endometriosis models were induced in rats of group C without feeding diaethylstilbestrol before the operations, but werefed with small dose of diaethylstilbestrol(0.02mg/kg/day)continuely for 5 days at the tenth day of the operation.Diaethylstilbestrol was applied in rats of group D not only beforethe model was induced but also ten days after the operation for5 days. Four weeks after the model induced ,the animals were againlaporatomized and the condition of the explant examined. All datumwere analysed with SPSS 13.Results: More uterous of rats were swelled in group B and D, which were fed with diaethylstilbestrol before operation, thangroup A and D. All of the transplanted endometrial sections ofsuccessful model exhibited accumulation of fluid. Significantdifference was noted for the rate of success of model in all groups.Group D seemed have the higher rate of success. But because of thesmall sample size, this rate doesn't have enough representionalability. Acorrding to the color and diaphaneity of the model a newparameter was invovled to evaluate the quality of model, that wecall it degree of significance. We found that degree ofsignificance has dependablity with parameters of area ,height andcubic capacity. As the transpanted endometrial sections mightinvasive into the muscle and external measure of the model mightnot be exact, involving of significance degree may help evaluatingqaulty of the model more exactly.
