Age-related Macular Degeneration-related Factors And Chinese Medicine Research Progress

Purpose:To keep abreast of the morbility factor in age-related macular degeneration(AMD); to take further apprehension in AMD at etiological factor pathogenesis and the determination of treatment based in pathogenesis obtained through differencens of symptoms and signs in Chinese medicine; to supply the theory for early prevention and intervention pretreatment; and to collect and study the experience of each specialist ,to cure AMD by the method of the combination of differencen of symptoms and signs with each diagnosis of diseases,which should be science and normalizationMethod:I am to collect the cases of AMD,and read the FFA film of AMD under the directions of my advisor ;also I am to follow the clinic service of my advisor, and it will deepen the cognition about AMD by the course of the diagnosing and calming in Chinese medicine ; and I will read the literatures of AMD in Chinese and English at home and abroad, and to sum up and unscrambling the literature and write this review article in the end. Results:According to the clinical characteristic ,AMD is divided into wet AMD and dry AMD.And the literatures show that AMD is relating with genetic factors, individual factors, ocular region factors, sys.factoes, lipid factors, environmental factors and living habit and son on .It is called shizhanhunmiao( dark and tiny vision) in Chinese medicine ,and the etiopathogenisis and pathogenesis are as follows:it is meanly caused by the deficiency-weakness of spleen-QI in the early time , and the deficiency-weakness of Liver and Kidney in the middle time and excess and deficiency inclusion with the phlegmatic hygrosis and blood stasis in the late time.We are to sum up and introduce the different experience of each clinic specialist in diagnosis and treatment based on an overall analysis of the illness and the patient's condition.Conclusion:We find that AMD is relating with genetic factors, individual factors, ocular region factors, sys.factoes, lipid factors, environmental factors and living habit.And it has gained better curative effect that practitioners of Chinese medicine think highly of the combination of differentiation of symptoms and signs with differential diagnosis of diseases in AMD.
