Advanced Colorectal Cancer Candidate Cluster Analysis And Principal Component Analysis

?As one of the major cancer categories ,colorectal carcinoma is being a rising tendency in China.Determination of treatment based in pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms is the special feature of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).But now there is no unified standardization in differentiation of symptoms of colorectal cancer. Part 1 is the literatrue study on differentiation of symptoms of colorectal cancer,Part 2 is the study on differentiation of symptoms of stageâ…£colorectal cancer based on cluster analysis and principal component analysis.Glossoscopy is the important part of four physical examinations in TCM. There are different tongue demonstrations in different stage of carcinoma ,it can judge the ups and downs of healthy energy, light and heavy press of disease and it is helpful in judging the prognosis of disease .With the development of information technology,computer image processing make the "subjective seeing tongue" change to objective precise interpretation to the tongue demonstration.The second part of this article is the study on picture of the tongue of the patients with malignant tumor,before chemotherapy ,in chemotherapy and after chemotherapy.Part 1: The literatrue study on differentiation of symptoms of colorectal cancer.Objective: To analyse expert's ideas inTCM literature about colorectal cancer Classifica tion based on differential diagnosis.Method: A number of literatures which were public home reported since 1994 have been analysed by chisquare test.Index words : "differentiation of symptoms,Zheng,Chinese medicine treatment, colorectal cancer,colon tumor,rectal tumor,etc.Result:Common syndromes of colorectal cancer are as flows:stagnation of humid heat,deficiency of both QI and blood, asdthenic splenonephro-yang, damp-retention due to hypofunction of the spleen.Conclusion: Now there is no unified standardization in differentiation of symptoms of colorectal cancer.24 papers were envolved in this research ,there are 32 different Zeng .So it is necessary to establish unified standardization in differentiation of symptoms of colorectal cancer.Part 2: The study on differentiation of symptoms of stage IV colorectal cancer basedon cluster analysis and principal component analysis.Objective:To approach the scientific method to study the differentiation of symptoms of colorectal cancer.Method:To summarize the primary syndrome of stageâ…£colorectal cancer based on cluster analysis and principal component analysis;to evaluate the contribution of symptoms to the Zheng based on principal component analysis.Result :According to results of cluster analysis and principal component analysis,we summarized four types of syndrome: hepatic and renal yin deficiency, deficiency-weakness of spleen-QI, stagnation of humid heat, deficiency of vital energy and blood stasis.Conclusion: Cluster and principal component analysis is helpful to classification of elementary Syndromes of TCM,it will make the scientific research of Chinese medicine transfer from qualitation study to quantitative study.At present ,it is signifiant practically to carry out multicenter and large sample epidemiological study of Syndromes of TCM of colorectal cancer.Part 3: Dynamic study of tongue picture of patients with malignant tumor duringchemotherapy.Objective:to approach the dynamic change of tongue picture of patients with malignant tumor,before,in and after chemotherapy .Method:Collecting 45 cases with malignant tumor before chemotherapy ,in chemotherapy and after chemotherapy by standard method ,Dividing the tongue body and coated tongue,area of interest automaticly by image manipulation technique. Making use of the expert system of tongue inspection of TCM to eliminate the error of tongue pictures,mersuring the characteristic of tongue pictures which include the colour of tongue,colour of coated tongue ,the area of coated tongue,etc . Results :1 the percentages of carmoisine and red tongue are obviously larger before chemotherapy;after chemotherapy the red tongue are larger than before and crimson tongue are obviously more than before chemotherapy.2 There are much more yellow,thick and greasy coating in the malignant tumor cases, there are no diference within three groups.3 RGB of tongue body:sort according to R value: carmoisine tongue>light white tongue>red tongue=crimson tongue>light purple tongue> purple tongue,The R value is obviously lower than the patients before chemotherapy;4 according to the results of percentage of coating ,more patients'coating transform from thick to thin even few coating ,5 according to the results of abnormal tongue shape ,there are more fat tongue,teeth-printed tongue and fissured tongue.Conclusion:There are obviously dynamic change in color of tongue in malignant tumor patients during chemotherapy .The glossocopy meter has fine identification to RGB value and the percentage of coating; there are statistical significance only in R value of tongue body and the percentage of coating,others have no statistical significance,maby because of insufficient samples. it is signifiant practically to carry out multicenter and large sample of studies,make the glossocopy meter extend to objective and quantitative study of TCM.
