The SPSS11.0 is used in the collection and analysis of the research. Descriptive research are used to analyze the basis situation and epidemiologic trait of the fetus and pregnant women, and, as to the effluence factors of the death, many research methods are applied, for instants, single factor X2 test, descriptive analysis, multiple factor Logistic regression analysis, relative risk proportion and population attributive risk proportion. Results: 2004-2005, the mortality of the fetus in the district of Changsha is 6.53‰, 4.82‰in 2004 and 8.10‰in 2005. The mortality of the fetus have significance between country and city (P=0.000), between the frequency of exam<8 and the frequency of exam≥8 (P=0.04), between floating population and permanent residence(P=0.017), between high-risk pregnant women and low-risk pregnant women(P=0.005), between premature birth and normal birth(P=0.000), between LBW and normal birth weight (P=0.000), between birth defect and normal birth (P=0.000).Conclusions: The risk factors include: domiciliary register of the parturient, high risk factors, floating factors, birth defect, premature birth, the frequency of exam before birth and LBW. Among them, the birth defect, premature birth, the frequency of exam before birth and LBW are very important factors disclosed from the Logistic regression analysis. In the analysis of relative risk and population attributive risk proportion, the pregnant women with high-risk factors have the biggest hazards, then the the birth defect of the fetus, and the frequency of exam before birth.
