Objective: To investigate the effects of the expression of ho-1in cerebral tissues of rat after focal cerebral ischemia andreperfusion. Methods: 2 hours right intraluminal middle cerebralartery occlusion with reperfusion was induced in 20 rats, and thespecimen of brain were performed at the point after 24 hoursreperfusion;expressions of HO-1 were detected by genechip profileand rt-pcr method. Results: Expressions of ho-1 were seen sparselyin the control specimens, and were markly increased afer transientfocal cerebal ischemia and reperfusion(p<0.01) Conclusion:Expression of ho-1 is a significant response to transient focalcerebral ischemia/reperfusion and contributes to the earlyformasion of vasogenic edema that can be observed all parts ofbrains. |
