Objective:The paper accomplished the investigation of the antise nility effect of the Xiaochai-hu formula by injecting rat with D-galactose.Method: Sub-acute aging models were made by contiously injection of D-galactose which can induce reactive oxygen species(ROS) to rats. Then the content of malondialdehyde(MDA)and of the serum and hippocampus tissue was determined as well as lipofuscin(LPF) contents in the heart tissue of the rats. The pathological sect ion of hippocampus tissue was also observed using microscope.Result:The study demonstrated that Xiaochai-hu fomula may play a n effective role to prevent the damages of ROS induced by D-gala ctose. And the data showed that Xiaochai-hu fomula may inhibite obviously the increasing of MDA in the serum and hippocampus as compared with that of the control group. So do the LPF contents in the heart tissue.Conclusion: Xiaochai-hu fomula may protect against oxidantive da mages. |
