This thesis had discussed the origin of Rosaceae and Liliaceae medicinal plants in Compendium of Materia Medica, finally by adopted the herbalogical study, investigation and identification and systemally comparing the ancient and present pertinent literature.ROSACEAE branches to four subfamilies including Spiraeoideae Agarch, Maloideae Weber, Rosoideae Focke and Prunoideae Focke. The Rosaceae druges mainly appear in 18, 29, 30, 36 volumes in Compendium of Materia Medica. There are totally 38 correlated itemes such as Shanzha, Budiaomu, Culingzi. Those druges belong to 3 subfamilies 22 genuses 44 specieses 6 varietases except Spiraeoideae Agarch.LILIACEAE has 60 genuses 570 varietases in China, including 52 genuses 374 varietases medicinal drugs. The Liliaceae druges mainly appear in 12 and 26volumes in Compendium of Materia Medica. There are totally 28 correlated itemes such as Lilu, Zhimu, Yuzan. Those druges belong to 15 genuses 39 specieses 2 varietases such as Album L, Lilium L.and Polygonatum Mill.Rosaceae and Liliaceae are big families of medicinal plant.
