Decoction of Eight Ingredients is an ancient prescription that comes from traumatics group . It includes: Radix,Indian Bread,Radix Glycyrrhizae,Largehead Atractylodes Rhizome,Radix Angelicae Sinensis,Prepared Rhizome of Rehmannia,White peony Alba,Szechwan Lovage Rhizome. It is a complex prescription that is made of Decoction of Four Mild Drugs and Decoction of Four Drugs. The article discusses progression of pharmaco and clinical application of Decoction of Eight Ingredients and its plus minus. And the experiment by Decoction of Eight Ingredients and the prescription that it includes researches haematopoiesis function of mice that are blood deficiency by Cyclophosphamide and Hydracetin. It authenticates the theory of "QI and blood" by the animal experiment research of prescription compatibility theory. It is concluded that the curative effect to haematopoiesis function of mice that are blood deficiency of Decoction of Eight Ingredients is better than Decoction of Four Mild Drugs and Decoction of Four Drugs by the experiment. The curative effect of nourishing both qi and blood surpasses enrich the blood and invigorate vital energy. And it too proofs scientific compatibility of Decoction of Eight Ingredients by the experiment.
