Objective1. To investigate the relations between gastrointestinal motility disordersdisease and TCM spleen-stomach Qi-ji hoisting, providing literaturefoundation for screening the kinetogenic gastrointestinal Chineseherbal medicine.2. To observe the seven kinds of Chinese medicine of areca peel,taraxaci,raphani, atractylodes ,cumin, curcumae and nutgrass on contractileresponses of isolated guinea pig gastric longitudinal muscle strips andexplore the contractile mechanism in vivo.3. To study the effect of different concentration zedoary decoct on gastricemptying and electrogastric dysthythmias activity of the stomach inexperimental function dyspepsia rats in vitro.Methods1. Discussion the relations of between gastrointestinal motility disordersdisease and TCM spleen-stomach Qi-ji hoisting, from the sides ofgastrointestinal pathology, physiology, gastrointestinal motility and thetreatment method of Qi-regulating.2. Longitudinal muscle strips from guinea-pig gastric fundus and corpuswere separation. Compared to saline and Ach, the effect of traditionalChinese herbal medicine on contractile activity was observed.3. The rats model of electrogastric dysthythmias was established . The rats were randomly divided into four groups and fed respectively withsaline, 25% zedoary decoction, 50% zedoary decoction, 0.1% motiliumsuspension. 28 days later, the emptying and myoelectrical activity weremeasured, the contents of Motilin(MTL) and vasoactive intestinalpeptide(VIP) in antrum and jejunum tissue were detected.Result1. The seven kinds of Chinese herbal medicines can induce contractionof smooth muscle strips at different degrees (P＜0.01) .The result ofexperiment was standardization by Ach. Contraction effect of raphaniwas more powerful than others herbal groups not only in fundusgastricus but also in corpus gastricum (P＜0.01). The effect of nutgrassand zedoary was weaker than others groups (P＜0.05).2. The 25% zedoary decoction can improve the gastric emptying rate ,theslow wave frequency coefficient of variation and the unusual rhythmindex at different levels(P＜0.01), the function is similar with 0.1%motilium suspension. Compares with the normal control group, nomatter is antrum and jejunum, model group MTL have drop tendency(P＜0.05 ) , In contrast, VIP have the trend of escalation (P＜0.05)Conclusion1. From two kinds of different theory system of TCM and the westernmedicine ,we discuss the relation of gastrointestinal motility andspleen-stomach Qi-ji ,from gastrointestinal movement, from this produces the digestion movement is the stomach and intestinesmovement function, its fluctuation causes the internal combustionengine disorder, the method of Qi-regulating can be use as a way topromoting gastrointestinal motility.2. In the promotion of stomach smooth muscle strips contraction aspect,the seven kinds of Chinese herbal medicine has strongly kinetogenicgastrointestinal effect.3. 25% zedoray decoction not only have therapeutical effect onelectrogastric dysthythmias, but also can intensify the dynamicadaptability of the stomach and intestine. So we can draw aconclusion that it may have therapeutical effect on functionaldyspepsia, which mechanism may improve the contents of MTL inantrum and jejunum tissue and may reduce the contents of VIP.
