Objective: By observing YiQiCongMing Tang (YQCMT) it represents the method of YiQiShengYang on the effects of immune function and eliminate free radical for D-galactorse induced aging mouse model, the aim is to explore one possible mechanism of preventing, slowing down the process of aging in order to provide a new theory and experimental foundation for the clinic application of slowing down the process of aging by using the method of YiQiShengYang.Methods: 60 healthy mice of Kunming species were divided into 6 groups randomly and equally: normal control group, model group, Vitamin E contro-l group, big-dosage-YQCMT group (27g/kg/d), middle-dosage-YQCMT group (13.5g/kg/d) and small-dosage-YQCMT group( 6.75/kg/d). Except Normal contro-l group, mice in groups were injected D-galactorse every day. At the same time, the models accepted lavage 0.2ml/10g/d YQCMT or Vitamin E of respectively density ; lavage the NS 0.2ml/10g/d to the Normal control group and Model group. 6 weeks later, the content of SOD, MDA, IL-2 in serum were determined. all the mice were weighted and measured thymus index and spleen index. Spleen lymphocyte transforming activity was measured with MTT method.Results: Compared with the normal control group, the activity of SOD in serum in the model group remarkablely decreased(P<0.01); while the content of MDA in serum in the model group increased obviously(P<0.01). it indicated the model was successfully set up . Three YQCMT groups increased the activity of SOD and decreased the content of MDA in serum, and big-dosage-YQCMT group are superior to middle-dosage-YQCMT group and small-dosage-YQCMT group. It hint YQCMT have favorable effect of eliminate free radical. Compared with the normal control group, the content of IL-2 in serum, thymus index and spleen index, Spleen lymphocyte transforming activity in the model group decreased obviously(P<0.01). From these, it is significant that D-galactose could induce immunosenescence. Three YQCMT groups increased the content of IL-2 in serum, thymus index and spleen index, Spleen lymphocyte transforming activity, and big-dosage-YQCMT group are superior to middle-dosage-YQCMT group and small-dosage-YQCMT group. From these we can draw a conclusion that YQCMT could protect aging mice to immunosenescence; Strenthen the function of immune systeme in aging mice.Conclusion: 1. The D-galactose may induce the mouse to produce the senile change, It displays drops for organism oxidation resistance ability, the serum SOD activeness drops, MDA content ascension. D-galactose-induced aging mouse model is stable, is reliable, available. It can be used to filtrate the anti-senile drugs. 2. The method of YiQiShengYang its represent is YQCMT have the significant effect in slowing down the process of aging. The possible reason are :(1) it could increased the activity of SOD and protected aging model mouse to the damage of free radical. (2) it could strenthen the function of immune systeme in aging mice.
