The Aconite Pressure Of The Applicability Of The Steaming Process And Pieces

This study is a part of a 15^th nation study topic.The research focus on the standards of the quality judgment on processed aconite roots.The paper includes four parts. The first part is a review of the research on processed aconite roots.The second part is the study about the effections on the contents of Aconitum alkaloids in processed aconite roots. We found that time is the most important factors in all the effections.The water content and the weight of raw material processed in one batch also effect the contents of Aconitum alkaloids. By high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), we authenticated the rules which the contents of Aconitum alkaloids in processed aconite roots varied with the time which the aconite roots were heated and pressured.The third part of the paper is about the standards of judgment. By the pharmacodynamics and toxicology tests on eight time point samples, we select a time point, which we conside it as a reliable condition that can react the modicus quality of processed aconite roots. After optimizing the technicality of process, we prepared the samples which belong to one batch from the same place and different places of raw aconite roots production.A HPLC fingerprint was developed for simultaneous determination of six Aconitum alkaloids, i.e, aconitine, mesaconitine, hypaconitine, benzoylaconine, benzoylmesaconine and benzoylhypaconine and other liposolubility alkaloids in aconite roots.Through the intra-assay and inter-assay analysises, the method was used on judgement the quality of prepared sample.Quantitative analysis of aconitine, mesaconitine, hypaconitine in unprocessed and processed aconite roots showed that the contents of the alkaloids varied significantly. Finally, we choose the peak area summation ratio of benzoylaconine, benzoylmesaconine, benzoylhypaconine and aconitine, mesaconitine, hypaconitine can be used as the standard to judge the quality of processed aconite roots which were processed by high temperture and pressure.On the fourth part, we study the contents of Aconitum alkaloids in decoction of processed aconite roots which came from different sources.Compaired with the sample which bought from pharmacy, the contents of Aconitum alkaloids in the sample which processed in high temperature and pressure is very low. The consequence showed that the technology which we found is fit for Chinese formulated products, not for decoction.These results can provide a scientific and technical platform to the products manufacturers for setting up a quality control standard as well as to the public for quality and safety assurance of the proprietary Chinese medicines and other herbal preparations containing aconite roots.
