Depressive disorder has become a emotional health problem in global. It has characteristics which is high attack rate,high recurrence rate,high burden rate and committed suicide rate. It has been common disease that is harm to people's physical and mental health,form huge burden and expenses to person,family and society.Antidepressant drugs are used to treat depressive disorder in modern medicine. Most of them have some adverse reaction and taboo,although they can effect for a long time. Furthermore,a part of the patients cannot insist on taking medicine,refusing to continue receiving medical treatment before the drugs begin to have effect. Patient's condition unable is in control. The result shows that the total effective rate of the therapy group is 81.8%,has no difference with the control group which is 84% according to the hamilton rating scale for depression . The cure rate and the effective power of the therapy group is better than the control group based on symptom-complex,and self-rating depression scale.On the hand of improve clinical symptom,the two groups can create effect after 4 weeks after treat with medicine. Both can degrade the accumulated points of hamilton rating scale for depression,symptom-complex,and self-rating depression scale. The consequence keeps on 12 weeks. After 4 weeks treat with medicine,there is no difference on the improvement of symptom-complex and depressed degree. But the therapy group surpasses the control group after 8 or 12 weeks. The result shows that the traditional Chinese medicine has aim directly at improve symptom-complex and self-rating depression.On the hand of adverse reaction,Chai Gui Wen Dan DingZhi Decoction is less than Imipramine. The main adverse effect of Chai Gui Wen Dan DingZhi Decoction is languor and lethargy.
