Clinical Research Xileisan Treatment Of Chronic Cervicitis And Its Impact On Rats With Cervicitis Pathomorphology

Objective : To explore and prove the effect of XiLei powder on chronic cervicitis and pathomorphology of cervical inflammation in rats. Methods:Clinical research: 44 chronic cervicitis patients were divided into two groups : the treatment group (n=22) and the control group (n=22). To observe effect from symptom , leucorrhea, vagina cleaness etc,and contrast effects of two groups.Experimental research: 60 SD rats were divided into six groups randomly to observe the effect of XiLei powder on pathomorphology of cervical inflammation in rats. In the pathological model of cervical inflammation in rats set up by deep injection of phenolmucilage into vagina. Effects of XiLei powder on histomorphology of cervical tissue and the number of WBC and PGE2 were investigated.Results: The total effective rate in the treatment group was 90.90% and 86.36% in the control group.There was no statistical difference between two groups. XiLei powder can significantly reduced the number of of WBC and PGE₂.The intact rate of the cervical local squamous epithelium in the XiLei powder group was obviously higher than that in model control group as a control,and cell inflammation and oedema in the XiLei powder group was mild as compared with that in the non-treated control group . Conclusion: XiLei powder is efficacious in treating chronic cervicitis. No scar and no side effect. XiLei powder has effect on pathomorphology of cervical inflammation in rats by reducing the number of WBC and PGE₂ and renovating the injury of cervical mucosa.
