Clinical Research, Xiefei Pingchuanling Treatment Of Heat-induced Asthma In Children

Objective: Xiefeipingchuanling is constructed on the point of view that treatment for asthma should activate circulation and relax the bowels. It is used to treat children phlegm-heat type asthma and compared with the routine methods in order to estimate its clinical effect.This will be helpful to further investigated the role of activating circulation and relaxing the bowels at the attack stage of asthma. Methods: Random allocated 50 clinical and hospitalized cases of phlegm-heat type asthma into two groups,25 cases treated with XieFeiPingChuanLing and 25 cases treated with DingChuan decoction. Before and after treatment, the changes of symptoms and signs are observed.Results: Tested by statistics shows that theraputic results of XieFeiPingChuanLing is obviously better than DingChuan decoction. Based on the symptomatic score estimated before and after treatment, we observed the treat team get better effect and use shorter time in eliminating symptoms and signs than comparison group, such as gasping and complexion.Conclusion: The principle of activating circulation and relaxing the bowels plays an integral part in the treatment for asthma and should be applied in asthma at all times.
