Objective To explore the effect of the marrow stromal cells (MSCs)transplantation for Alzheimer's disease. Methods β-amyloid protein was injected into hippocampus of rats to make ADmodel by using stereotactic device. MSCs of green fluorescence protein (GFP)transgenic mouse were transplanted into hippocampus of rats 8-10 days later. Thelearning and memory function was tested by marries water maze after 2 weeks.Survival and differentiation of MSCs were observed by immunohistochemistrystaining. Results The learning and memory function of the MSCs transplantation groupameliorated obliviously. Injection of MSCs into the hippocampus was able tosurvive, migrate, and differentiate into ChAT positive cells. Conclusion Transplantation of MSCs is not only able to survive, migrate anddifferentiate but also able to ameliorate behavior after transplantation into AD rats.
