Prescription Efficacy Of Semantic Web Research

The Traditional Chinese Medicine, which focuses on the actions of TCM formula and medicine, is a complicated knowledge system and has very close interrelationship. In this article, the research is done on the actions of TCM formula and medicine with Semantic Network. After the concept of the TCM formula and medicine's actions is standardized, a Semantic Network, which takes the action as research object, has been successfully established, based on the setup of semantic category, the selection and definition of semantic relationship, and the design of semantic structure.Objective: To set the standardized semantic categories for the concept of the formula and medicine's actions and design a semantic structure and association. To provide a powerful tool for the work of TCM formula and medicine text mining, database construction, the ancient literature processing and the collection and processing of the information of formula and medicine. To provide a new thought for the development of TCM Formulation Science and a new research method for the researchers.Methods: First of all, I extract all the kinds of crytic Semantic relationship from the actions and they form a relationship table. They built a reticulated structure of the interrelationship among the following things: concept-concept, concept-noun, concept -meanings, term-term, which are related to the formula and medicine's actions. Secondly, I did a semantic research to the actions of formula and medicine. This research makes the concept of the formula and medicine's actions standardized, well arranged and networking, for the convenience of the semantic types and semantic relationship's establishment. I define and classify the Semantic types of the formula and medicine's actions with tables. I also define the semantic relationship with tables in both Chinese and English.
