The incidence of advanced menopause symptoms, residual ovary syndrome and the disorder of dysuria and defecation increased after hysterectomy. My tutor professor ChenYing has been engaged in the research for many years and named it after hysterectomy syndrome (AHS).After abundant clinical practises, she generalised her own theory in treatment for AHS. She indicated that Zang-Fu organs and Eight Extra Meridian are injuried during the operation, leading to the deficiency of essence and blood, sluggishness of Qi, accumulation of phlegm and blood stasis as some pathologia-product, which are directly the reason for the deficiency of Kidney and Chong-Ren meridians.Professor Chen treated it based on syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medieine(TCM)and formed her own characteristic theory. She emphasised that we should treat it according to the pathological mechanism roundly , combine the tonification and the elimination and strengthen the Qi of kidney. She claimed that the hysterectomy should be reconsidered for premenopausal women unless it have to be done. The follow-up should be carried out after the surgical removal uterus , offered methods of TCM to prevent the development of the disease and try our best to elevate the female patient's quality of life.
