Clinical Research. The Bushenhuoxue Intervention Effect Of Premature Ovarian Failure

Objective: To study the mechanisms and effect of tonifying kidney and activating blood on premature ovarian failure (POF).Method: Theory study and clinical observation were involved in this study. Selecting and analyzing classic and modern articles were the main methods of theory study. In clinical observation, the 44 women with POF were randomly divided into two groups: The therapeutic group is treated with Bushenhuoxue Tang; the control group is treated with Luweidihuang Tang; the normal group includes 30 healthy and grown-up women whose periods are regular. Symptoms are observed pre and post treatment; serum estradiol (E₂), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). The blood flow parameters involving PSV and RI of both ovary arteries are measured by pelvic ultrasonography.Result: Preceding treatment symptoms of groups have no significant difference (P>0.05). The integral of symptoms is decreased significantly compared with pre-treatment in groups (P<0.05, P<0.01), there is significant difference between groups (P<0.05). Preceding treatment symptoms of flush and sweating, fatigue and irascibility, and vaginal dryness are obvious. But after treatment these symptoms are significantly better than before (P<0.05, P<0.01). Symptoms of the therapeutic group are ameliorated significantly better than the same of the control group (P< 0.05).Preceding treatment blood serum FSH and E₂ of POF has no significant difference between groups. But after treatment FSH notably decreased and E₂ notably increased in groups (P<0.05, P<0.01), and there is notable difference between groups (P<0.05).10 patients were checked by pelvic ultrasonography. The blood flow of both ovary arteries in POF patients is fewer than normal person. PSV in POF patients is lower than normal group (P<0.01).
