The clinical effect of the treatment of cervical spondylopathy with needle knife was obvious, but lack of the safe and viable path in anatomy in the treatment of cervical spondylopathy with needle knife. The article discussed cervical spondylopathy's anatomy and the mechanism of the treatment of spondylopathy with needle knife .It also approached the feasibility and security of posterior entrance in the treatment of cervical spondylopathy with needle knife. Methods :The second to seventh vertebrae of total 30 skeleton specimentsand 2 cadavers were used .The line connecting the midpoint of every spinous process was posterior median line ;The line connecting the outer margin of every articular process was outer line ;The line connecting intersecting point of the overlaying innermargin of the two adjective vertebral lamina was called inner line .The spacing between the posterior median line and the outer and inner lines was measured .Needle knife was inserted vertically at the point 10mm to posterior median line until it reached the posterior margin of corresponding vertebral lamina. The depth of needle insertion was measured .Dissection was done layers of layers along the needle knife to observe the structure passing through .Results :The spacing between the posterior median line and the inner linewas 9.2-17.8mm .The spacing between the posterior median line and outer line was 20.4-28.7mm .The width of the little articular was 8.9-13.4mm .If the needle was inserted at the point 10-20mm to posterior median line ,took a direction 0 degree with sagital plane and (0-20) degree with transvers plane ,no unexpected injured would occur. Conclusion : posterior entrance is feasible and secure in the treatment of cervical spondylopathy with needle knife.
