Wei Qi And The Aging Of The Skin, The Theory And Experimental Research

ObjectiveDysfunction of skin immune system can result in skin aging, defensive qi in TCM have the relationship with immune system in modern medicine, it have the same function and allocation as the skin immune system , so it have the correlation between defensive qi and skin aging. In this paper we observed the influence of Yupingfeng Powder to the skin immune system ,Anti-oxidation system and collangen content in skin of aging rats. Reseaching the allocation between Defensive qi-dificiency and skin aging, the function and mechanism of postpone skin aging by invigorating Defensive-Qi.MethodsThe rats were randomly divided into five groups: normal control group; model group; Vitamin E-C group; Yupingfeng Powder low dose group; Yupingfeng Powder large dose group. The skin aging rat model of Defensive qi-dificiency syndrome was induced by subcutaneous injection of 12.5% D-Galactose (1000mg·Kg^-1) on the back near neck daily for six weeks. Yupingfeng Powder group were orally administrated with decoction of Yupingfeng Powder. Vitamin E-C group were orally administrated with the misture of VitE-C. We observed content of superoxide dismutase (SOD) with xanthinoxidase method, Maleic Dialdehyde (MDA) with Thibabituric Acid (TBA) method, and the Hydroxyproline with hydrolization(Hpy) method , and ultrastructure changes of Langhan's cell(Lc) in the skin by transmission electron microscope .Results1, Yupingfeng Powder can inhibit the Ultrastructural structure pathological changes of Langhan's cell in skin: There were obviously changes in Lc of aging mice that mitochondria swelling ,vacuolar degeneration as well as swelling of endoplasmic resculum and golgi complex. Vitamin E-C group and Yupingfeng Powder group can inhibit the change like this, the changes of Lc' structure was lighter that model rats . The amount of Birbeck , mitochondria and golgi complex.2,Yupingfeng Powder can increase the contents of SOD , decrease the contents of MDA, increase the Hydroxyproline in skin . The model group have the result of low lever SOD, high lever MDA , There was a very notable changes (P<0.01) compared with normal group. Vitamin E-C group and Yupingfeng Powder group all can increase the contents of SOD and decrease the contents of MDA, there was significant changes (P<0.01, P<0.05) . Especially the Yupingfeng Powder large dose group . Copared with model group , there was a very significant changes (P<0.01). The contents of Hpy was decreased obviously in model group, Vitamin E-C group and Yupingfeng Powder group can increased it, There were very significant changes (P<0.01). Yupingfeng Powder large dose group was better than Vitamin E-C group, there was notable changes (P<0.05).
