Clinical Studies Of Meditation Soothe The Nerves Tang Treatment Of Qi Of The Fire Of Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Anxiety is perceived as an unpleasant affect, characterized by a tense and physically exhaustion, focused on an impending and inevitable sense,although not objectively apparent, danger or emergency along with a painful awareness of uncertainty about the possibility of resolving the situation. The occurrence of anxiety as a mental disorder is increasing recently. Diazepam, as an widely used anxiolytic, has serious side effects, such as sedation,hypnosis,muscle relaxation, tolerance ,withdrawn effect, and so on. Chinese medicine (TCM) is well known as their little side effect.After the investigation of TCM symptoms of GAD suffers, we found the mechanism of TCM mostly appeared was hotness, stagnancy of Qi, weakness of blood; The cure types and ways of TCM mostly appeared was the oppressed Qi turned hot, the weakness of heart and spleen and the weakness of Yin of liver.Objective:To compare the curative effect of Chinese medicine jing xin an shen tang with the Deaxit on GAD with hotness and stagnancy of Qi.Medthod: 60 GAD patients with hotness and stagnancy of Qi were observed for 4 weeks in a randomized controlled clinical trail with jing xin an shen tang and Deanxit.HAMA and the scale of TCM symptoms were applied to measure the treatment effect.Results: We found that the score of HAMA of both 2 groups after therapy decreased significantly (p<0.05). After 2 weeks,the total effective rate of study group was 86.7%, the total effective rate of comparative group was 70%.The effect between 2 groups had significant difference(p<0.05). After 4 weeks, the total effective rate of study group was 93.3%, the total effective rate of comparative group was 90%.The effect between 2 groups had no significant difference. And the score of TCM symptoms scale of both 2 groups after therapy also decreased significantly (p<0.05). The effect between 2 groups had very significant difference (p<0.01).There was no serious side effects in study group occurred. And there were 5 cases with side effects in comparative group occurred, there were dry mouth,sweating and fremitus of body.Conclusion: There is basically equal effect between the jing xin an shen tang and Deanxit.But jing xin an shen tang group had more rapid effect and fewer side effects than Deanxit.
