Somatostatin Plus Growth Hormone And Western Medicine Therapy Clinical Observation Of Patients With Acute Pancreatitis

Objective:Acute pancreatitis(AP ) is a certain chemical inflammation arised by the pancreastin digesting the pancreas and many tissues around it.It' s a severe disease with rapid occurance, fast development, high death rate, many complications. Through thirty years' study , we have been obviously improved the effect of therapy to AP in China. The viewpoint of therapy has been achieved the common in principle.It is the individual treatment with different pathogeny and illnesss period. Now, the total survival rate is eighty three percent on AP, thereinto, the survival rate of operation is more than seventy percent,nonoperation is about ninety percent. Since the middle of eighty' s in last century , we researched abroadly to the mechanisms about AP treated by the traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM). TCM can significantly reduce the hospitalized days, shorten the recovering period of albumin, decrease the rates of complications and improve the prognosis. The truth has been confirmed in practice. At present , we face the common object which is to prevent AP from changing into severe acute pancreatitis (SAP), it includes two layer significants, at the first, to prevent mild acute pancreatitis changing into SAP; secondly, to prevent SAP worsing.Therefor, there are two focuses on treatment of AP with combination of somatostatin and growth hormone as well as that of somatostatin and TCM, i.e. the Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine(ITCWM), we compared them each other , discuss significantly to improve the effect of treatment on AP.Methods:We analyzed retrospectively history data of forty-four patients who had suffered from acute pancreatitis during past five years from January of 2000 to April of 2005. They were selected by according to the diagnosis standard revised by the Chinese Medical Association Surgery Branch Association Pancreas Surgery Section in 2000.Among them , twenty-five patients were received combination treatment of Chinese-West medicine with somatostatin and Qingyi Decoction (SS+TCM);Another nineteen patients were taken for control group and received combination treatment of somatostatin and growth hormone (SS+GH).
