| Objectives:According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, obesity can be caused by food stasis, circulation of the vital energy is stagnated in the branches of channels, and the significant pathological change is obstruction of the vital energy. As the vital energy is mainly involved in the pathogeny, policy of prevention first should be adopted, applying the medicine of promoting blood circulation of and invigorating vital energy to stop the transmission and change. We've collected a comparatively comprehensive related documentation on the disease theory research and treatment of collateral disease, systematically reviewed and summed up the causes, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations of collateral diseases and the clinical application of policy of promoting blood circulation of and invigorating vital energy, and by means of further testing, probing into the vascular endodermis functional barriers and existence of insulin resistance among the patients of overloading and simple obesity, and the possible role of the application of the medicine of promoting blood circulation of and invigorating vital energy ,"Luotong"("络通").Methods:The composition of the experimental applications, "Luotong", derives from Zhang Zhongjing's " shanghanlun " (《伤寒论》) and is proportionally produced from the leech, rhubarb, peach kernel. To explore the function of "Luotong" on the vascular endodermis functional barriers and existence of insulin resistance among the patients of overloading and simple obesity, through humerus artery ultrasonic , we observed the endodermis functions of the patients of overloading and simple obesity, the affects of "Luotong" on patients'body mass index(BMI),waist to hip circumference ratio(WHR) ,levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG), levels of fasting blood insulin(FIN) , insulin sensitivity index (ISI), brachial artery flow-mediated vasodilation(FMD), nitrogen oxide(NO), endodermis tissue (ET), the von-Willebrand factor (vWF), vascular cellular adhesion molecule (VCAM), inter-cell attaching molecule (ICAM), and blood lipid.Results:"Luotong"can improve the patients'function of endodermis of blood vessels of overloading and obesity, and probably increase the levels of nitrogen oxide, brachial artery flow-mediated vasodilation (FMD), reduce the levels of fasting blood glucose (FBG), the von-Willebrand factor(vWF), vascular cellular adhesion molecule (VCAM), inter-cell attaching molecule (ICAM) , and adjust blood lipid disorders. |
