Objective: To explore the method to improve clinical therapeutic effect by analyzing the pathogenesis and therapy of Chloasma.Method: To summarize the recent literatures on pathogenesis of Chloasma, analysis the reason of its unsatisfactory therapeutic effect, and suggest how to improve the clinical therapeutic effect. In the clinic observation, 75 cases were divided into two groups: control group was treated with conventional method of TCM differentiation; treatment group received periodical treatment according to different stages of menstrual period. Then evaluate the therapeutic effect with accumulate.Result: Literature summary points out that sexual hormone disorder is the most principale pathogenesis mechanism of Chloasma. The therapy of TCM by regulating Liver, Spleen, and Kidney was superior to modern medicine therapy. The clinic observation showed that the cure effectiveness rate, marked effectiveness rate and total effectiveness rate was 13.51%, 40.54% and 91.89%, in the treatment group, respectively, in the control group, 5.88%, 29.41% and 73.53%. There was a significant difference in the two groups(P < 0.05).Conclusion: TCM artificial periodic therapy can improve the therapeutic effect of Chloasma exactly, and is worth further studying and popularizing.
