Biyuanshu Experimental Study Of The Biochemical Mechanism Of The Treatment Of Acute Sinusitis Rats

Objective: To investigate the effect of Biyuanshu Oral Liquid on acute suppurative sinusitis (ARS) of rat , and to explore its mechanism in curing experimental ARS rat.Method: According to the method of Y. Ge and induced experimental ARS models. A week later, low> middle and high dosage of Biyuanshu Oral Liquid were irrigated to the stomachs separately. Penicillin V, Xihuaniansu were used for the positive medicine. After a week therapy. weight, temperature, PH, trace element Zn²⁺, serum malonaldehyde (MDA), serum giutathione peroxidase(GSH-P_x), serum surperoxide dismutase (SOD), apoptosis of inflammatory cell and scanning changes in different experimental groups. Results: Experimental ARS rat are apparently abnormal in following parameters: weight, temperature, PH, MDA, GSH-P_x ,apoptosis of inflammatory cell, scanning electron microscope view of the sinus mucosa manifest typical pathological of ARS rat . But Biyuanshu Oral Liquid improved above facts apparently.Conclusion: Suitable dosage especially middle dosage of Biyuanshu Oral Liquid can treat Acute Suppurative Sinusitis effectively. It shows very good effect in whole in strengthening immune function, resisting the apoptosis of inflammatory cell and eliminating inflammation. In conclusion, the Chinese medicine modulates the body metabolism, strengthen immune function, and recover the nasal mucociliary transporting system through different ways and links. Those above are one of the principal mechanisms of prophylactic the paretic action of Biyuanshu Oral Liquid on ARS.
