Prof. Wangjian has been worked in clinic for more than twenty years. He has accumulated abundant clinical experiences in the therapy of depressive psychosis. Prof. Wang thinks that in the early stage most of depressive psychosis are excess types, and they are mainly caused by six depressions, the basic of which is depression of Qi. And it will transform from excess types to deficiency types in the late stage, which leading to the deficiency of heart, spleen and liver, qi , blood and Yin-essence are finally become deficiency syndrome. There are also some types that deficiency syndrome and excess syndrome appear at the same time. The treatment should be started with the regulation of heart, liver, spleen, lung, and brain. The treatment principal is to remove stagnation and resolve phlegm, to sober up brain and relieve tension and calm mind, to attack and reinforce at the same time, determination of treatment based in pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms and signs , and to treat with both acupuncture and herbs.
