Clinical Studies Of The Sugar Bone Capsule Treatment Of Diabetic Osteoporosis

Objective:The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical effect of Tanggukang Capsule which is made from Traditional Chinese Medicine with the funtion of regulating Qi and nourishing Yin and promoting Blood circulation and used to treat Diabetic Osteo porosis resulted from deficiency of both Qi and Yin and Blood Stasis as well, to explore a new idea for the clinical treatment of Diabetic Osteoporosis. Method:229 patients with Diabetic Osteoporosis were divided randomly into treating group (140 cases) and contrast group (89 cases). Among these patients, the treating group was treated with Tanggukang Capsule and simulacrum Minidiab and simulacrum Alpha-D3, while the contrast group was treated with Minidiab and Alpha-D3 and simulacrum Tanggukang Capsule. During the treatment, there were three interviews, which were before the treatment, after 4weeks' treatment and after 8weeks' treatment respectively. After 8weeks' treatment, curative effect of disease and syndrome were analyzed. Blood sugar before meal and after meal, glycosylated hemoglobin and the density of bone were tested and analyzed. Result:Tanggukang treating group was superior to the contrast group in both curative effect of disease and syndrom (p<0.01). The patients' blood sugar before meal and after meal and glycosylated hemoglobin decreased, but bone density increased in both groups (p<0.01). But there is no difference in the effect of the test results between two groups (p>0.05). Conclusion:It is worth recommending in clinical practice to use Tanggukang Capsule in treating Osteoporosis due to Diabetes which belongs to the syndrome of deficiency of Qi and Yin and Blood Stasis. For the curative effect of Tanggukang Capsule is positive, especially there is a remarkable advantage in improving curative effect of disease and syndrome.
